Hello, my name is Lisa. I am five years old. Today is an exciting day. I want to be a firefighter. I wake up early. I hear a loud sound. Woo–woo! Woo–woo! It is a fire truck. I look out the window. The truck is red. It is big and strong. My heart beats fast. I feel excited. I wash my face. I brush my teeth. I put on my firefighter hat. I wear my jacket. I feel brave. In my playroom, I make a fire station. My teddy bear is there. My doll is there too. They need help. I say loudly, “I am Firefighter Lisa!” I pick up my hose. I hold it tight. I check everything. Helmet. Jacket. Boots. Safety is important. Suddenly, my teddy bear’s house is in trouble. I run fast. But I stay calm. I spray water. Splash! Splash! The water is strong. The water is cool. I learn something new. Firefighters use water to stop fire. The house is safe now. My teddy bear smiles. Later, I hear a cry. My doll is stuck high on a chair. She looks scared. I bring a ladder. I climb slowly. Step by step. I reach her. I hold her gently. “It’s okay,” I say. I bring her down safely. Everyone is happy again. In the afternoon, my mom talks to me. She says, “Firefighters help people.” “They are brave.” “They help animals too.” I nod my head. I learn a big lesson today. A firefighter is brave. A firefighter is calm. A firefighter helps others. At night, I lie in my bed. I think about my day. I helped my toys. I saved a house. I helped a friend. I feel proud. Maybe one day, I will help people for real. I close my eyes. I feel safe. Good night. See you in my next story. 🌙🚒💖
