Hello. My name is Lisa. Today, I want to tell you a story. A story about my big dream. I want to be… a pilot. This morning, I wake up early. The sky is blue. The sun is smiling. I look up at the sky. I see a big airplane. It flies high, high, high. I say to myself: “Wow! One day, I will fly too.” I wear my pilot uniform. It is blue and white. I wear a small hat. I look in the mirror. I smile. “I am a pilot today,” I say. I go to the airport. The airport is big. Very big. I see airplanes. Big airplanes. Small airplanes. They sleep on the ground. They wait to fly. I walk into the cockpit. The cockpit is the pilot’s room. There are many buttons. Many lights. I sit down. I hold the control. My heart goes boom boom. I feel excited. I feel brave. I hear a voice: “Ready to fly!” I take a deep breath. I look forward. I smile again. The airplane moves. Slowly… Then faster… Faster… Whoooosh! We fly up into the sky! The ground is small. The houses are tiny. The cars look like toys. I fly above the clouds. The clouds are white and soft. Like cotton candy. I see the world from the sky. I see rivers. I see mountains. I see the ocean. The world is beautiful. Very, very beautiful. I learn something new today. A pilot must be: ✔ Calm ✔ Careful ✔ Kind A pilot helps people travel. A pilot keeps people safe. After a long flight, it is time to land. Slowly… Softly… The airplane touches the ground. We are safe. I take off my hat. I smile again. I am happy. I am proud. Today, I am a little pilot. And you?
